I start back at school in less than a week and need to do some seriously thoughtful retailing...

Most of the year I wear jeans, jeans, and jeans. It's very adventurous. I need to put more thought into my shopping BEFORE leaving home.

... SO I have been stalking some of my favourite fashion blogs and scouted out these looks. Perfect for increasingly-cold weather and the slouchy, grungy streetwear that you can totally pull off as a student!

How much thought do you put in before you go shopping? Usually I just buy what I see, but I wonder if careful planning will enable me to create better outfits....??? What are your tips?

***OOOHHHH P.S I nearly forgot - I have joined Twitter. You can find me here and come be friends with me and maybe even give me some tips on how to use it! ;) ***

  1. I rarely prepare to shop, unless it's finding coupons and discount codes. :) I'm kind of a neutral/basics guy, so most everything I buy will coordinate with what I already own. Maybe it's a tad different for the ladies.

And I just tweeted you! So exciting!

  5. (I, too, wish you'd change the settings so you're no longer a 'no-reply' commenter!) Really glad that you stopped by my blog and have just signed on as your newest follower! Looking forward to hearing more from you!

(and since I'm being a critic, maybe you could ditch the word verification too?)

    1. Hiya, thanks for your comment! Unfortunately Blogger has removed the option of deleting word verification from my settings page... lucky you told me as I specifically set it up to do the opposite - gonna have to find a code to edit the html. Hope you had a great start to your day!

  6. I love that denim shirt! It's perfection.

Other than hitting up last chance, the rack and tj maxx, most of my shopping is online, I feel like it stops me from the impulse buying and allows me to really plan ahead for specific items.

  10. I always read those magazine articles that say you have to have the basics in your wardrobe ( the little black dress, one white dress shirt etc) and I've always thought it was a great idea, but I've never really followed it. I just kind of buy what I see and like at the moment. Probably not the best idea in hindsight.
